Hi, I’m Dana! I am a professional genealogist who specializes in genetic genealogy education and research. In 2018, I created the Leeds Method—a visual approach to organizing DNA matches into distinct groups—which revolutionized the way countless individuals seek to identify recent biological ancestors as well as break through more distant brick walls. After I shared this process, several programmers automated the method. This led to the creation of tools like Genetic Affairs’ AutoCluster and DNAGedcom’s Collins’ Leeds Method.
It’s been my privilege to be asked to speak at prestigious conferences and institutes like GRIP, SLIG, the i4GG Conference led by CeCe Moore, RootsTech, and the East Coast Genetic Genealogy Conference. I love helping others unravel their family mysteries by helping them understand the concepts and tools of genetic genealogy.
If you’d like to learn more about the Leeds Method or automated clustering tools, please visit the “Leeds Method” tab. And I invite you to visit my blog to explore more about both genetic and traditional genealogy research.
